I have not been write on the blog for a long time. I think last time I wrote on the blog about 8 years ago. How can time flies really fast? I have been taking care of my husband who had stroke, he did not get stroke during our marriage but I have been busy to make sure he is doing ok. He is doing very well.
My name is Christine Comas. I am fully deaf all of my life. I am 41 years old married and have no children. I have been married my husband, Gerry for almost 10 years. Right now, I am attending Liberty University to study. What I am studying: Religion: Theology and Biblical study for BA degree.
Since November 2014, a lot of things have been happened in my life with my husband. Nothing about our marriage. It is about life lessons that I have been learn how power God handle things for my husband and me. First of all, I call my husband Gerry. I never call him Gerry during in our marriage unless I talk to my friends or family. I usually call him my babe all the time. Ok! Few days before Thanksgiving, My uncle Vince passed away from suddenly heart attack during his trip to hunt. I don't know him very well but paid him the respect. Then, about 3 weeks later, My aunt Diane which I love very much and we grew up being close then she got cancer for 10 years passed away. On the evening, my apartment building got on the fire which have NOT destroy my unit. Well, how I know there is fire in our building? I went to pick my husband's meds and returned to found out there was fire. I told Chief of fireman that my husband is in building, so I gave them the key to get him. When it is done, we cannot stay there so we got our things we need and Our manager of apartment put us in Hotel. We stayed in the hotel for a week. On this night, my apartment broken in and stole some of things. Thank God we had the rental insurance and got everything work out. After hotel for a week, few days later there is another fire in our building which was on our floor. Later on, there is a lot of problems like pipe leaking into our building, mice, etc. Finally, on January 23rd God bless my husband and me for new apartment we were moving in. When we were moving out, there is A LOT of mold over in the apartment. It was terrible to see that apartment we were living in. Right now, we are in new apartment and everything are GREAT in God's glory. Then, on February 17th, I found out that my cousin passed away. Things have been happening have been hard on me but I rely on God for everything.
I talked to my mentor about what's happening. And explained to her about don't understand why people have to die, etc etc. Some are personal I rather to keep it myself. She is wonderful!!! She have been there for me whole of time I need her. She said, keep to trust God no matter what.
There are 2 verses that become my life verses to remind me everything is in God's control. For I know the plans I have for you"--this is the Lord's declaration--"plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11)
We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose (Romans 28:8)
I am SURE that God have been test my faith and I am still stay being faith to God. How can I walk away from God which He saved my life many times? He saved my life during surgery, fire, etc. You may not image how I have been through with my husband.
One thing, never say enough to God like I did. God is BIG than the problems we are having. Now, I know God always be in CONTROL everything for Good like Romans 8:28.
Image this, Jesus Christ died on the cross for YOU all and ME! He took ALL of the sins on the cross so we can be set FREE when we believe Him and FOLLOW HIS path.
It is like that. He is always with people who love Him and follow him.
Just Remember God is BIG than the problems we are dealing. ASK Him for the help because we cannot fix the problems ourselves.
